GrooveScope — see your mix

A free visualizer for your master: a calibrated spectrum with genre reference bands, oscilloscope, stereo field — and The Room, your session in 3D with likely masking flagged. No account.

v0.9.0 beta · macOS 12+ · Windows 10+ · Ableton Live 11 / 12

Spectrum

Levels in dBFS, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 1/6-octave smoothing and slope. Overlay the tonal range of real reference tracks in your genre and see where your mix leaves it. Freeze a curve to compare before and after.

Scope

Oscilloscope with zero-crossing trigger — read waveform shape, transients and phase at a glance.

Stereo

Lissajous and per-band mid/side width, so you can tell a wide pad from a phase problem.

The Room

Your session in 3D: each track is a sphere placed by where it sits (measured, not the pan knob), its frequency range and its volume; wider spheres are wider in stereo. Collisions between tracks are flagged as likely masking.

Setup

  1. Run the installer and restart Ableton Live.
  2. Put GrooveScope on your master track — Spectrum, Scope and Stereo work right away.
  3. For The Room: Preferences → Link/Tempo/MIDI → Control Surface → choose “GroovePilot” in a free slot (Input/Output: None), then restart Live. The installer already copied the Remote Script.

macOS security (beta)

This beta is not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS may say the installer “can’t be opened”. Right-click the .pkg → Open → Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

GrooveScope is passthrough only: your audio is never changed, stored or sent anywhere. It has no account and makes no network calls.

GrooveScope shows where tracks fight. GroovePilot, our AI mixing copilot, tells you what to cut, where and by how much — measured against reference tracks in your genre.
